In recent years we have heard a lot about AI (Artificial Intelligence), what is it and will it really replace human jobs?. Artificial intelligence is a human development of machines that makes them better (smarter) than before.

Before the existence of artificial intelligence, machines still use mechanical techniques to work, for example, a washing machine timer, it uses a series of gears that are mechanically made to disconnect and connect the flow of electricity so that when we rotate it and drain the electricity, the washing machine rotation works, if only drain the electricity and do not rotate the washing machine timer will not rotate because the flow is cut off by the washing machine timer. Nowadays we see washing machines that use more sophisticated machines, just click the machine will automatically wash and dry clothes, because in the washing machine a series of digital devices such as sensors have been installed.

Artificial intelligence is made basically based on behavior, for example if A then do X and if B then do Z. But humans add knowledge intelligence in the machine, imagine a child who only whines when hungry, then as they get older we teach them to speak and express so that now when they are hungry they no longer whine, but can say that they are hungry or even they take their own food.  well as artificial intelligence in machines, they are given a knowledge base so that they can do something better in the future.

But today many of us are worried about AI, because of its ability to replace humans in work, is it true? Yes, it is true, but I will explain my opinion. As I explained earlier, artificial intelligence machines are basically only given behavior but nowadays they are given a knowledge base.when you use ChatGPT to help with tasks such as school assignments. AI has a behavior of receiving human input, trying to understand the context of the given command, searching for data from the knowledge base, processing and selecting data, and finally generating a response. Similarly, when you ask to create an image, the AI will create it based on the knowledge it possesses. If you ask for a 3D image but the AI does not have knowledge about that, then it cannot create it.

Well, this is why AI can replace humans when they have a knowledge base of human commands, they can execute them. This changes human work behavior, where previously having only basic knowledge could get us a job, now AI can do it faster and more efficiently. So we need to learn again to be able to use AI as a tool to assist with basic tasks. The analogy is like this, someone who can only use a calculator will not become a math expert. But someone who understands mathematics and uses a calculator will work faster and more efficiently.

My advice is to keep learning and use AI as an aid. Indeed, we do not know what the future holds, but we hope for regulations on the use of AI. btw, AI is just a machine that uses electrical power you can unplug it to turn it off.
